About the role

The Claims Consultant is responsible for receiving and processing claims, ensuring that claims are paid quickly, accurately and efficiently, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction while exercising control of claim costs. Excellent customer service is a key aspect of this position.

What you'll be doing
Manage end-to-end claims processes, including registration, assessment, negotiation, settlement, and payment verification, ensuring compliance with policy conditions, delegated authorities, and corporate guidelines.
Deliver exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for claims-related enquiries, building strong relationships with brokers, distribution partners, clients, and internal stakeholders while resolving enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure claims quality and best practice, regularly reviewing claims accuracy, monitoring estimates against liabilities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of claims systems, procedures, and strategies.
Support business development and organisational capability, assisting with key schemes and customers, gathering market intelligence, participating in external events, and maintaining strong industry and legislative knowledge.
Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing workplace, supporting the Team Leader and senior colleagues with projects, coaching internal staff on systems and processes, promoting company values, and actively participating in learning and development initiatives.
What you'll need to have
At least 2 years’ experience working in claims management
Strong commercial negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels both internally and externally
Displays sound judgment and the ability to solve problems
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, possessing strong numerical reasoning
