Our Planet. Our Part.
Across the Benefact Group we’re playing our part in tackling climate change. We recognise the responsibility we have to influence through how we invest, insure and give and we’re also working to reduce our direct impact.
Our colleagues all have a part to play in tackling climate change.
The Benefact Group is a member of ClimateWise, a voluntary industry initiative to drive climate responsibility and action.
We donated £250,000 in 2023 to environmental causes including: encouraging climate discussions and advocacy in schools, circular economy, water and wetlands, regenerative farming, rewilding.

Our roadmap to Net Zero
We believe reducing our carbon impact is the right thing to do. That’s why we’re going further with our plans to remove our historic direct impact by 2030. It’s a bold ambition, but one that we know – with hard work and innovation – is achievable.
For us climate impact is very clearly about:
We don't invest in polluting industries through our sustainable investment policy and we're influencing companies to make better climate decisions.
We don't underwrite the most climate-harming industries and we're working to support our customers to decarbonise.
We give to environment and climate charities tackling a wide range of issues from biodiversity to ensuring a just transition to a decarbonised society.
We're committed to decarbonising our direct operations - the impact of our offices and travel.
