About the role
Ecclesiastical are looking for a Development Account Manager to join our sales team. This is a remote role with travel across the Southwest region.
Attached to a regional underwriting centre you will pro-actively manage and develop broker relationships within a panel to generate sustainable and profitable growth through new business wins and retention of existing business. This will be achieved by delivering a high-quality sales process and taking a long-term outlook you will develop mutually beneficial business relationships between partners and Ecclesiastical.

Key responsibilities
- Acting within Ecclesiastical’ s risk appetite: target, win and retain business in our core market sectors, delivering profitable growth in line with plan through:
- Prospecting, including utilising and growing CRM pipeline
- Planning and delivering agreed activity level
- Delivering a high-quality sales process
- Driving profitable new business growth
- Supporting renewal process
- Delivery of retention targets
- Represent all areas of EIO, Regions, A&PC , Real Estate and Schemes.
- Build and maintain a successful contact strategy for each broker.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholder to support the delivery of great customer outcomes.
- Provide support to the Strategic Account Managers by creating a continuous feedback loop that feeds the delivery of regional account plans.
- Engage with colleagues across EIO to leverage business relationships and ensure agreed strategies are implemented effectively.
- Work proactively with colleagues in the technical support functions (claims, Risk and Underwriting) to deliver exceptional service and propositions to our brokers and their customers.
- Deliver and exceed key financial metrics including GWP, New Business and GWP targets
- Broker Survey results, Ecclesiastical surveys and direct feedback from broker panels
- Activity and effective presence at key insurance and related sector events (eg) Association of British Insurers, British Insurance Brokers Association
- Delivery of enquiry and conversion rate targets and performance of business underwritten (UWP)
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Strong track record in a commercial insurance sales role within the UK market
- Highly credible and commercially focused with a strong reputation for delivery and service.
- Proven ability to build productive relationships internally and externally.
- Understanding of market relevant to the geographical position of the role
- Excellent communication, negotiation & presentation skills
- Knowledge of tactical marketing campaigns and ability to identify such opportunities
