About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance, who are proudly part of Benefact Group are looking for a Schemes Development Underwriter to join our Gloucester office.
You will be responsible for managing and developing an allocated portfolio of schemes, delivering profitable growth, strong broker partnerships and sustainable scheme performance through strategic account management, underwriting expertise and effective governance.

What you'll be doing
Manage a portfolio of schemes to deliver profitable growth, retention and strong underwriting performance aligned to business objectives.
Develop and execute account plans, growth strategies and engagement plans to maximise scheme potential.
Build and maintain strong broker and partner relationships to drive trading performance and long-term success.
Identify and deliver growth opportunities through product development, distribution expansion and portfolio optimisation.
Monitor scheme performance, governance and regulatory requirements, providing insights and recommendations to support effective decision making.
What you'll need to have
DIP CII qualified or commitment to achieve within a given timeframe.
Proven insurance underwriting and sales experience across different sectors of the market, particularly commercial insurance.
Proven ability to build, manage and influence effective relationships with brokers, partners and stakeholders at all levels, with experience of managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to interpret performance information, identify trends and implement effective actions.
Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and balance customer, commercial and risk considerations.
