Financial Reporting Accountant
We are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join Benefact Group on a contract basis. This role is based in our Gloucester office with hybrid working.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Duration: Up to 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35)

What you'll be doing
Support the preparation and delivery of the Group’s quarterly and annual statutory reporting, including sourcing, analysing, and validating financial data to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
Work closely with external auditors to facilitate efficient statutory and regulatory assurance engagements, providing information, resolving queries, and helping to ensure a smooth audit process.
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of reporting processes, controls, governance, and accounting procedures, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and strengthening the quality and efficiency of financial reporting.
Support technical accounting and statutory reporting activities, including the preparation of narrative reporting such as the Strategic Report, Audit Committee and Board papers.
Contribute to areas of accounting judgements and support the Group Reporting team with the statutory reporting Group Governance requirements.
What you'll need to have
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Aptitude for interpreting and applying accounting requirements and best practice.
A skilled communicator capable of interpreting and explaining complex information to stakeholders.
Experienced and disciplined user of Microsoft Excel
Financial Services Experience
Understanding of IFRS, Solvency II experience beneficial, but not essential.
