About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance Canada, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Business Associate to join our Toronto office.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Business Associate Program. The business Associate program offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business through a series of departmental rotations—including underwriting, corporate services, risk control, and claims. Each rotation provides hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to key technical and leadership skills essential for long‑term career success.
As part of the program, Business Associates also complete a Customer Development Placement within the community to deepen their understanding of the organizations we serve. In addition, participants work toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation through the Insurance Institute of Canada—an internationally recognized professional qualification.

What you'll be doing
Successfully complete each program rotation, meeting the performance goals and success measures set by the department manager and mentor.
Develop a strong understanding of the learning objectives associated with each rotation.
Complete all 10 Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses and earn the CIP designation through the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Complete a Customer Development Placement, meeting all established success criteria.
What you'll need to have
A university degree or college diploma from a recognized post‑secondary institution.
Approximately 1–2 years of work or volunteer experience (co‑op, internships, summer roles, part‑time work, or extracurricular experience welcome).
A strong interest in building a career in the commercial insurance industry.
Willingness to commit to completing the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation within three years.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, with the ability to self‑manage, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a team‑based environment.
Adaptable, resourceful, and eager to learn.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to work with and interpret data effectively.

We’re committed to transparency and fairness for this role; the base salary range is between $55,000 and $67,700. That’s just the base —the full package includes so much more!
