About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance, who are proudly part of Benefact Group are looking for a Graduate Actuarial Analyst to join our Gloucester office.
As a Graduate Actuarial Analyst you will play an important role in supporting the Group Investments Team by developing, testing and using the internal model for modelling of market risk; and developing analysis and preparing management information to inform the Group’s investment strategy and risk management.

What you'll be doing
- Undertaking core actuarial analysis and reporting, producing accurate work within set deadlines.
- Developing and producing core management and risk reporting in respect of the Group’s investment portfolio
- Contributing to Group investment and market risk projects, developing & applying appropriate methodologies.
- Undertaking analyses as directed to provide impactful insights into relevant aspects of the Groups investments and wider business.
- Communicating effectively both within the actuarial department and across the wider business.
- Pro-actively learning and applying actuarial concepts and methodologies and improving industry and investment knowledge.
- Keeping abreast of current and emerging economic trends, actuarial technical standards and best practice.
- Carrying out relevant data gathering/validation exercises to meet the on-going business needs
What you'll need to have
- Degree or equivalent in statistics, actuarial studies, computing, mathematics
- Excellent analytical & mathematical skills
- Effective communication skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships.
- Strong IT skills
- A track record of success and achievement in education.
What makes you stand out
- Work/placement experience undertaking work with an analytical focus
- Exemptions or passes in actuarial exams are beneficial although not essential.
