About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance, who are proudly part of the Benefact Group are looking for a Claims Admin Support to join our Gloucester office, on a hybrid basis. The role holder will contribute to defined service delivery by acting as part of a processing and administration team, supporting the Ecclesiastical “right first time”, First Contact Resolution (FCR) approach to customer service.

Our commitment to dealing with correspondence swiftly is enshrined within our customer promise. This role is vital to support us in delivering on our promise, as effective and timely triage of correspondence enables claims to be processed by the claims handlers more quickly.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate registration of claims within the policy system and allocation of claims inbound post within the claims handling systems
- Identification of urgent matters and use of appropriate labels within the systems and where required, escalation to relevant personnel within the department
- Occasional outbound calls to customers and suppliers to obtain additional information required to allocate post.
- Engage with company communications to ensure personal understanding of key company/customer issues and Ecclesiastical strategic aims
- Within own area, identify and recommend improvements to processes
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Minimum four GCSE’s or equivalent
- The ability to plan, prioritise and manage own work to deliver agreed objectives and meet targets
- Understand, manage, and use information with accuracy.
- Close attention to detail
- Good ability to concentrate on a repetitive task
- Industry knowledge would be an advantage.
- Competent IT and data skills [including Microsoft suite]
- Effective and appropriate communication skills
- Commitment to deliver exceptional service contributing both as an individual and as an effective part of a team.
- Understanding of data protection and importance of confidentiality.
