Commercial Insurance Manager
We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join Business Choice Direct in our Eastleigh office. Competitive salary and excellent benefits.


Salary: Up to £40,000.00 (depending on experience)
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Duration: Temporary - 12 Month FTC

About the role
Lloyd & Whyte, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Commercial Insurance Manager to join our Business Choice Direct team in their Eastleigh office.
Business Choice Direct, commonly referred to as BCD, is an independent insurance broker specialising in commercial and consumer motor insurance; providing tailored cover for couriers, vans, minibuses and fleets, as well as tradespeople and SMEs.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be client & people focused, with a strong background in commercial and fleet insurance. As Commercial Manager you will lead your team of people from the front and will be expected to ensure the department hits and exceeds key performance indicators for income generation, policy and client led targets.
This is a temporary role for a fixed term of 12 months. As Commercial Manager you will be based in our Eastleigh office a minimum of 4 days per week.

What you'll be doing
Achieve department objectives for income, policy count, cross-selling, retention, and agreed individual KPIs, whilst contributing as an integral part of the Sales Management Team.
Provide leadership, support and encouragement to direct reports, promoting company values and instilling a culture of continuous professional development, competency, and technical knowledge.
Deliver a first-class, professional client journey from first policy to renewal, ensuring service KPIs, SLAs, and quality assurance standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Effectively manage workflow, purchased leads, and pipeline, monitoring productivity, distributing work appropriately, and providing advice and guidance on the placement of risks.
Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement through call and file assessments, complaint management, process enhancements, professional development, and collaboration across the business.
What you'll need to have

Drive business performance, proactively identifying process changes, implementing business strategy, managing projects, and applying commercial insurance expertise to client and risk management.
What makes you stand out
Hold a Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance
Proven experience in Commercial and Fleet Insurance
Proven management experience within Insurance, ideally within a Sales team
