As a Senior Group Accountant, you will be delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting for the group and its businesses.

What you'll be doing
- Support the preparation and delivery of the Group’s statutory and regulatory reporting through sourcing, analysing and preparing financial information for use in returns and financial statements.
- Contribute to the preparation of external IFRS financial statements for the Group’s UK entities including the Group’s consolidation accounts.
- Support the preparation and delivery of regulatory (Solvency II) returns for annual and quarterly submissions for UK regulated entities, including the Group.
- Provide support to the external auditor for efficient and surprise free statutory and solvency assurance engagements.
- Support a continuous improvement culture within the Group Reporting team and across wider Group Finance function.
- Assist with the preparation of narrative reporting for statutory and regulatory reporting, including the Strategic Report and SFCR.
- Contribute to areas of accounting judgements and support the Group Reporting team with the statutory and regulatory reporting Group Governance requirements.
- Support the implementation and improvements to the Group’s accounting controls and procedures for statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Proactive engagement with wider Group Finance objectives and projects.
- Actively expand personal technical knowledge both informally (networking internally and externally, internet, industry press) and formally (In-house training, CPD)
What you'll need to have
- Experience with the production of statutory accounts and knowledge of consolidations.
- A skilled communicator capable of interpreting and explaining complex information to stakeholders.
- Experienced and disciplined user of Microsoft Excel.
- Aptitude for learning, interpreting and applying accounting and regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines, handle competing priorities and adapt to the needs of the business.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Well organised with a meticulous attention to detail.
What makes you stand out
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Understanding of IFRS, Solvency II experience beneficial, but not essential.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services industry would be beneficial but not essential.
