About the role

Benefact Group are looking for a Group Tax Accountant to join our Gloucester office.

As Group Tax Accountant you'll ideally be a recently qualified accountant (preferably ACA or ACCA, although other qualifications considered) with an interest in developing a career in Tax. Some previous tax experience is beneficial, but not essential.

What you'll be doing 

• Prepare the monthly and quarterly tax compliance returns (VAT, Insurance Premium Tax, Construction Industry Scheme)
• Prepare the annual Corporation Tax Returns
• Assist the Head of Tax with preparation of Statutory Accounts tax provisions
• Act as lead Tax Business Partner for defined areas of the overall Benefact Group
• Preparation of Total Tax Contribution data
• Overseas withholding tax optimisation
• VAT partial exemption methodology
• Transfer Pricing and tax aspects of expense allocations
• Liaison with external advisors on Research & Development Tax Credit claims
• Pillar 2 tax obligations

What you'll need to have 

• Accountancy or tax qualification
• A commitment to continuing professional technical development
• Ability to operate on wide variety of fronts e.g. monthly reporting to longer term projects
• Proven ability to organise and manage data in a structured and accessible way
• Proactive with ability to drive process improvements
