About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland, who are proudly part of Benefact Group are looking for a Claims Administrator to join our Dublin office.
As a Claims Administrator, you will provide organisational and administrative support to the Claims team, delivering high quality customer service supporting Ecclesiastical’s “right first time” approach to customer service.

Key responsibilities
- Accurate data entry and supporting the wider Claims team, inputting first notification of loss, diary reminders, ensuring all files are up to date.
- Efficiently triage notifications, register claims with appropriate reserves, and assign files to handlers with first action protocols.
- Engage with brokers/stakeholders and update reserves as agreed with the claims handler.
- Update diary system, issue reminders, and register payments for settlements within authority.
- Undertake ongoing file administration, ensuring accurate codes for timely Central Bank returns and file closure administration.
- Provide claims experience information to Underwriters for renewals and identify trends for risk mitigation.
- Build effective relationships, act on audit results, and recommend process improvements.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- High level of numeracy skills with a basic knowledge of data interpretation is a distinct advantage
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Customer service experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage your time and workload
