About the role
Benefact Group are looking for a .NET Engineer with strong integration skills to join our Engineering Team in our Gloucester office at an exciting time.
Key responsibilities
We are regularly updating our tools and technologies to the latest versions and using them to develop business critical solutions alongside .NET development. The intended target hosting is via Azure. We are also in the process of improving our working practices, using Agile and Scrum methodology to deliver value as early as possible. We use a range of server- and client-side technologies such as C# ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, Web API, Solr, Typescript, Vue.js and Bootstrap and Blazor.
Teams are now providing restful APIs for re-use across our IT landscape inline with our integration and API strategies. We are focused on building Integration Services with common re-usable services and custom integration applications where required in Azure API Management and other necessary Azure components.
The team are responsible for several development projects and maintenance of other key assets.
You will be able to provide excellent technical capacity and capability and engineering excellence to agile teams and enable rapid and high-quality outputs. Contributing to and increasing our library of Azure components.
We are regularly updating our tools and technologies to the latest versions and using them to develop business critical solutions alongside Dynamics and .NET development and engineering. The target hosting environment is Microsoft Azure.
You will ideally have experience scripting environments, developing with resiliency, scalability, performance, and cost optimisation in mind.
You will have an understanding of the DevOps lifecycle and how with a focus on automation, CICD practices we will release to production, reliable applications frequently inline with Scrum time-boxes.
You will have the benefit of using the latest hardware, and receiving MSDN and Pluralsight subscriptions to support your ongoing professional development.

Knowledge, skills and experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of C#
- Demonstrable knowledge of .NET Framework, and Visual Studio.
- Strong knowledge of cloud development and deployment via Azure and/or AWS.
- Knowledge of Azure Integration Services and/or other Integration Platforms.
- Experience identifying and developing appropriate integration for mission critical services.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory, Application Gateway, AMI Management.
Desirable skills:
- Experience of working in an Agile environment, using concepts like Scrum, Kanban etc.
- Experience of CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying code (e.g. Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Jenkins etc.)
- Experience with unit / acceptance testing, infrastructure-as-code, QA practices (using ReSharper and code review), accessibility standards & testing, and source control (using Git).
