About the role
Ecclesiastical Planning Services, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Business Relationship Manager to join us on remote basis with travel across the UK.
As Business Relationship Manager you will be responsible for the management, retention and optimisation of a panel of funeral directing Appointed Representatives to support delivery of Ecclesiastical Planning Services’ business plan objectives.
The successful candidate will have the ability to manage a panel of funeral directing Appointed Representatives, demonstrating strong leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships. A solid understanding of business planning and objectives and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service to clients. Along with experience in a regulated financial services environment.

Key responsibilities
- Definition and delivery of partner sales plans for panel of Appointed representative firms, taking remedial action to address underperformance and/or maximise over performance to achieve business targets
- Own and proactively develop commercially successful and productive relationships with funeral directing firms to maximise the growth of our funeral plan business
- Support the delivery of EPSL’s business plan to win and retain business in our core market sectors by:
- High quality account management or panel of firms to optimise performance and profitability
- Planning and delivery of agreed sales development activity, ensuring CRM accurately reflects planned and actual activity
- Delivering a high-quality business development process
- Prospecting, including utilising and growing the CRM database
- Driving profitable new business growth
- Meeting company retention and new business targets
- Maintaining prudent and ethical communication standards
- Work proactively with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to funeral directing firms and our contacts in the funeral trade and identify areas where business processes can be improved
- Promote Ecclesiastical’s brand, values and reputation in its markets and with all business partners, customers and suppliers by acting responsibly and with credibility in order to enhance prospects for the profitable achievement of business growt
- Ongoing oversight and management of assigned Appointed Representative relationships to ensure they comply with relevant regulations and demonstrate high standards of good practice
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Must hold full UK’s Drivers Licence
- Proven track record in a similar role building sales through intermediaries ideally in later life or regulated markets
- Ability to build productive relationships internally and externally
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of tactical marketing campaigns and ability to identify such opportunities
- The ability to support the design of and run training sessions for business partners
