About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland, who are proudly part of Benefact Group are looking for a Underwriting Support Team Leader to join our Dublin office.

Key responsibilities
- Manage the team to deliver on team and individual objectives, ensuring sustainable profitable growth and retention of business in accordance with Underwriting strategy and in line with Ecclesiastical business plan, underpinned by:
- Contribute to the monitoring and reviewing of systems and processes and support the implementation of initiatives to improve team capability and performance
- Plan, prioritise and manage own and team workflow effectively to deliver compliant outstanding service
- Set and monitor individual and team targets on an annual, weekly and daily basis to maximise team performance and meet objectives and SLAs and a compliant
- Motivate and manage team performance, supporting team members to identify and address development needs and ensuring appropriate stretch
- Lead embedding of culture, creating empowered, disciplined, high performance and collaborative team
- Act as expert point of referral for underwriting, pricing, negotiation and service
- Deal effectively with escalations within the team working with other underwriting teams where relevant
- Identify and resolve all escalated customer complaints in line with regulatory/company guidelines
- Manage own caseload to underwrite existing business (fast track renewals, debit transactions and alterations) and new scheme business within own authority and in line with Underwriting strategy and SLAs
- Provision of administration support to Underwriting team through accurate and timely
- Processing quotes and new business and MTAs
- Managing chase cycle for risk requirements
- Resolve customer queries
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- Required: APA (Commercial General Insurance)
- Preferred: CIP or commitment to achieve within agreed timescale
- Experience of working within insurance sector
- Market, industry and company knowledge
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
- Customer service experience
- Appropriate IT skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
