About the role
Ecclesiastical, who are proudly part of the Benefact Group, are looking for a .NET Developer to join our Gloucester office, with hybrid working.
The successful candidate will need strong front-end skills to join the Web Platform team at an exciting time. We are regularly updating our tools and technologies to the latest versions and using them to develop business critical solutions alongside Java development. We are also in the process of improving our working practices, using Agile and Scrum methodology to deliver value as early as possible. We use a range of server- and client-side technologies such as C# ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, Web API, Solr, Typescript, Vue.js and Bootstrap.
The team are responsible for development and maintenance of several public websites, including our latest website delivery for Benefact Trust (https://benefacttrust.co.uk), a key brand launch in March 2022.
You will have the benefit of using the latest hardware, and receiving MSDN and Pluralsight subscriptions to support your ongoing professional development.

Knowledge, skills and experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of C#
- Demonstrable knowledge of .NET Framework, and Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of cloud development and deployment via Azure and/or AWS.
- HTML 5 / CSS 3 (Less/SASS), JavaScript (or TypeScript), Bootstrap.
- Experience developing websites for mobile devices using responsive design.
- Experience with SDL Tridion or other CMS platforms (SiteCore, Umbraco, Sitefinity, Strapi, WordPress, etc.)
Desirable skills
- Experience of working in an Agile environment, using concepts like Scrum, Kanban etc.
- Experience of CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying code (e.g. Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Jenkins etc.)
- Experience with unit / acceptance testing, QA practices (using ReSharper and code review), accessibility standards & testing, and source control (using Git).
