About the role
Due to growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Consultant to join our well established, high performing Group HR team based in our Gloucester office.
The successful candidate will provide professional Employee Relations and Business Partnering support for all our strategic business units across the Benefact Group.

Key responsibilities
- Manage caseload of employee relations work on behalf of HR Business Partners, ensuring they are kept abreast of all developments within their business area
- Provide specific employee relations services and advice, ensuring high levels of service and optimum cost effectiveness for the company
- Act as an effective link between HR Administration and Business Partnering ensuring timely accurate documentation
- With support from HR Business Partners manage own areas acting as a trusted partner to the business working in partnership to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure company policies are updated and compliant with current regulations – carry out at least an annual review of each policy as directed
- Support performance review processes including moderation and remuneration discussions
- Support internal relevant training interventions to support managers across the business
- Timetabled and ad-hoc project support work as required
- Provide and present detailed MI on activities in line with business requirements both cyclical and ad-hoc
- Support structural change in support of HR Business Partners and for own areas where required
- Act as an escalation point for MyHR admin queries
- Support the wider department and Group Functions with DSARs and investigations
Knowledge, skills and experience
- A proven track record in a relevant role within a commercial environment
- CIPD qualified
- Appropriate IT skills (will be tested)
- Proven strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of managing stakeholders and influencing process and procedure
- The ability to multi-task, manage work under pressure, to complete work accurately and deliver to agreed deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and influence up to senior management level, tailoring style as appropriate.
- Proven ability to break down problems to understand the root cause
- Ability to make recommendations for change/improvement
