About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Assistant to join our business Lansdown Insurance Brokers in Cheltenham.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will ensure you deliver an exceptional service supporting Lansdown's “right first time” approach to internal and external service.

Key responsibilities

• Processing payments from clients and agents
• Reconciling daily bank transfer payments
• Monitoring Direct Debit payments and managing defaults
• Settling Account payments with Insurers
• Weekly banking
• Assist with monthly reconciliation
• Paying invoices from contractors and suppliers
• Commission payments to agents and property managers
• Liaising with sales teams on account queries
• Loading data onto operating system
• General administrative duties

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Previous Accounts experience, ideally insurance
• Excellent, professional and confident communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Flexibility
• Manage workload
• Ability to construct effective written communications
• Work well within a team especially under pressure
• Training in the role will be provided
• Advanced IT skills
